Wylam is ideally situated for visiting many attractions and has easy access to good road network and to Newcastle Airport. Hadrian's Wall and the various Roman forts, all in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, can be easily reached.
The very attractive Northumberland coastline with its famous castles at Bamburgh and Holy Island and magnificent beaches make excellent days out.
Also accessible are Beamish Museum, Alnwick and the Alnwick Garden, Kielder Water and not forgetting the regenerated Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside with it's famous bridges, the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts, The Sage Music Centre and many excellent places to eat. Newcastle-upon-Tyne is also the home to a variety of museums and art galleries and the Centre for Life.
